Need to touch in a few stone chips one has gone down to metal and been left a bit long and just showing little start of surface rust.
Is it possible to still touch it in would
iron x remove it ok then panel wipe?
Have watched youtube vids on various ways to do stone chips but just thought I would ask on here too.

Any advice and tips from anyone would be much appreciated especially ref the rust starting?

Depending on the size. Try to clean the rust out of there. Use a tooth pick or something equally as small. Then use chipex or your touch up.

Remember to apply the paint in very thin layers, leave to dry before the next layer, Build it up, If you feel confident enough you can wet sand and use a compound polish to blend it in.

Hi all,
I'm wanting to touch in a few stone chips. I've seen some things to help, which are in this video by the Forensic Detailing channel on YouTube I watched the other day.

I want the little sticks for touching in which he's linked to (but from somewhere cheaper) and the little circular dabber thing (shown at 9.16 on the video) and pads for wet sanding the high spots after after I've done them.

Does anyone have any links to them please?

Use cocktail sticks to touch the paint in with.

Then something like this for the sanding blocks

and the sandpapers

Have you checked AliExpress, that seems like the sorta gaff that'd sell that gear.
Cheers, hmm I haven't as I never think about that place (I always think it sketchy!) Mr Trailer man's given me some links so I'll check those out :) I know of the website he's given.
