Stone Saves An Iceberg PH1 172 From the Scrap Yard!

  LY 182
Really nice work that.

I really want a PH1 now. If anybody has a decent PH1 and wants to do a swap with me then let me know! :rasp:

Got a lot of love for this car. If i didn't have the Cup then i'd get a Ph1....or steal this off you.

Has cleaned up very well.....the new interior was a must considering there was a lake of stagnant water under that rear bench. :dead:

They're pretty much exactly the same bar the LSD surely lol ...

From memory, James' problem was that there was no drama, it drank fuel, parts were expensive & the engine sounded like a dishwasher.

Other than that it was great ;)

No, it's not just the LSD. The springs, dampers and anti-roll bars are all different.

When my R26 has bankrupted me/I buy a house I'll get a cheap 172.

They are a bit soul less though IMO. I don't particulary care how much faster they are either. I don't recall James's ever having much of an impression on me.....I'd even go as far as saying it was a bit detached and dull.
A 172/182 has a certain cheeky charm and ultimate chuckability fun factor which the Meg lacks.

She has come along way, Big thanks to Dave & Mike for sourcing the 182 interior!

It wasn't the handing that was the only issue, Just the power/engine was not what I hoped for, Just gives up by 5,000 rpm, diesel power band with petrol fuel consumption :dapprove:
