Stupid Insurance Prices !!

Im currently insured on my 1.2 with everything declared, costin just under 1200 a year, fair enough, 21 yr old, 1 year NCB and an accident 3 yr ago..

Thing is, i phoned up to declare my spoiler, suspension and ecotek valve that were due to go on later this month..

now.. they want another £170 on top of the policy - £1350+, and £100 on my excess - £700 !! so they want over £2k to insure my car !!

anyone got any ideas on insurance companies, dont want elephant, or these crap 10 month policies...

my mods are -

Lexus Rear Lights
Pipercross Ind Kit
Rage Backbox
17" OZ Titans
Window Tints
ICE
( plus minor things )

planned mods are -
K-Tec utopia Spoiler
Suspension lowered 40mm
Ecotek Valve

You might just have to wait until your policy runs out, unless you want the risk of not declaring your mods.

Try HIC next year though, theyre very cheap and excellent with mods.......

try reno insurance im younger than u with 1yr ncb, newer car same grp ins, and its 700 fc, but then again i have no mods on my car!! Ahem!!!

because they deem the 10-month policy as not being a full year.. and they have practically no way of distinguishing a 12 moth from a 10 month, so most wont really take it...

try green light insurance in brentwood, my clios modded, twin custom pipes, leather, full ice, custom bodykit, 385mm brakes, lowered, 17s and all the normal stuff and as just cost me £521.00 fully comp give them a call. i havent got the number to hand but 118 will sort you out.

Try Liverpool Victoria (also called Frizell )they seem good price. Im in the same boat as you 21, 1 yrs NCB and one claim to my name. On a DCI 65 (one group higher insurance I think) its £880 with a £400 excess.

They let you do any mods you want without any increase premiums or excess so long as CC dont change and they are informed of all changes. Check this though as Ive not tried it.

Also where you live is imortant wher I used to live under the same situation it would have cost £1200 minimum. Only think with LV is that you have to be 25 for a CUP or 172.
