Stu's Sunflower Ph1 172.

  172 cup, Impreza P1
Cheers dominic! I suppose I dont have much else on steve lol. How far away are you with the clio now?

If I could get it started I'd only need to run it in and get it mapped but starting it is becoming a pain in the a55!

Not sure yet, process of elimination so far. Fuel pump wont stay on when cranking but will purge. Tested the pump which holds 3 bar fine so either the fuel pump relay, crank signal or wiring. The immobiliser keeps staying on sometimes too which hinders progress. I can see me replacing a lot of wiring and relays soon!

Cupman are you still running the standard ecu to power the fuel pump and using the crank sensor for both ecu's? Sounds like a similar problem I had which turned out to be the crank signal to the original ecu. I switched to a ford sensor as it gives a better signal.

Sorry Stu, turning into a hijack here but you did ask! lol

Neil, it could still be the issue and not rulling it out but I get a good crank reading on the Adaptronic software (WARI) when cranking. Both the fuel pump and crank sensor are going to the OE ecu. I'm starting to think it is the relays and wiring in the engine bay as everytime I move them something else happens that didn't before so somethings not right in there. Everytime i'm getting somewhere, the immobiliser decides not to play anymore and then I have to go back to that issue.

If I could get ti to a dealer I would get it plugged into CLIP and see what it says. Might gett the AA to help with that.

Also bought this well known flower at the start of the year for a run about. Done loads of bits and pieces to tidy it up to my standards.

Hi again. I'm still alive, not sure what you can say about the sunflower ☻

Seeing as I managed to not post atall in 2017, I thought i'd try and post atleast once in 2018!

Quick run down, As Arran stated above, got my first house. Finished my second year of superlap scotland. Sold the car. Bought some more ph1's and an m3.....aaaaand finally done some productive work on the sunflower for the first time in probably over a year.

As you can see I've done pretty much nothing since the last update other than some more underseal removal, Hopefully I can keep the enthusiasm going for more than a week this time to get on with it a bit more. If not i'll maybe update the thread again in a year or 2 [emoji8][emoji8]

That's a whole lot of work! Wish I had the space to do something like that.

That's Peters old M3? Looked around it at Snetterton in October - really nice example!

JESUS!! This has gone through a series of seriously insane processes!

No wonder my project doesn’t get a comment! There’s loads of extreme stuff happening elsewhere on the forum 😂

Just read through the whole thread, the sunflower is immense! Can’t be too many ph1s that have undergone a full underbody freshen up.

Good afternoon guys, I hope you're all sitting down, It would appear I've not posted in ere for coming close to 2 years

I wont bore you all too much with my life story since the last 'update' as I'm not sure how many clios I've had since....I do have the flamer back agaon that I posted about owning in January 2016....however it is now a caged track car  (I'll add photos at the end!)

Anyway, I've got a little bit more done to the car, More so in the last few months as it sat untouched for so long. Cheers to the few people that have helped/bulleyd me to death about getting the finger out... So yeah, Less talk, More pics right?

Hope the pics upload ok
