Sub cutting out?

Fitted my sub yesterday and only really pushed it today , when turn my head unit up the sub seems to cut out , ive earthed to the seat belt buckle , cleaned the metal also . Any ideas?

Only when it gets loud? Can the amp take it? Can your battery take it? Halfords wire?

check the amp isnt going into protect mode, i had that, then also have you the right size in line fuse/ guage wiring, that can also cause the sub to cut out aswell

Fixed this basically the head unit i have is crap so fitted an old school xplod for time being

could have been the pre outs on the head unit
