Subframe Removal Help

hi all,

I started to strip my 172 last sunday to remove the gearbox (crunch between 2nd and 3rd + oil leak's).

however most of the nuts that hold the rear brackets (triangle shape almost) that support the rear of the subframe have snapped.

any idea's on how to fix the plate back up??

Subframe captive nuts (18mm) or the supplementary brackets that tie the Subframe to the floor (13mm)?

I'm guessing you mean the supplementary brackets in which case you are gonna have to either drill them out or forget to put them back on.

Yeah, sounds like the additional brackets.

As Mick said, will need to drill and re-tap. Would probably be fine without them though,
