Sump Guard ??

Any1 kno were i cant get 1? cz iv lowre the front alot it tends to scrape, i went to me m8ts garage earlier and all i saw under the car was gravel, did check in case it made a hole but nuffin luckily..

roughly how much are they? m8t told me it was around the £40 area..

i avnt got a 172 nor 182 Fred.. im not like you guys living in the city, i live in the country side and theres loads ov places i have to go with Ramps and it scraps the front splitter which i dont mind as im replacing it, but 2day i just heard a massive bang and look nothing had come loose or broken thank god just stones clutters up under the car. thats why i want a metal stump guard just incase next time it cracks the stump..

The plastic standard one 6000073585 is £45, The metal one is not available in the UK, but the part number is 7711129605 and is about €250.

I thought by sump guard you guys were taking about the tray that bolts onto the bottom of the subframe and has a little hole/recess for the oil sump??

ye thats the 1 i think lol. its prevents anythin happen to the bottom end ov the engine.. @ 250 might aswell just forget about it lol. but if i can find 1 much cheaper then thatl be handi

make ya own ? find some thin sheet steel and drill holes, you will find there are drilled and threaded whole in your subframe to take such a item

not as simple as that insomnia! i don't live in the city either, and a ran my clio that low for at least 50K miles

the proper sump guard is CNC machined ali, IIRC its about 6mm thick!!!!!!

As Fred syas they are 6mm thick Durallium.My dads just had one made for his 106 rallye which is 8mm thick with extra ribbs on for strengh but hes going in the Forests.

Ur tellin me their mad, me m8ts is making his corsa up now for the July 15th rally, im shittin mysefl as hes asked me to Navigate.. i dont kno no1 who is able to make them il just have to ask around i think now.

Feel sorry for you navigating if you havnt done it before especially a welsh road rally:dapprove: ,you have to start somewhere though.
The temptation of a 205 roadrallycar is too much for me at the moment-watch this space!

i went in my other m8ts corsa last night, i had to wedge meself in the seat as im a big lad(not fat lol) and he was going about 80-90 through these small lanes, i had to tell him to slow down lol, even tho we had a roll cage i just didnt feel safe, if he had a full roll cage which went to the front ov the car and stuff then id be ok suppose, but the though s**t were gona have a smash the windows are gona smash in our face made me s**t myself lol.. things i watch on tv like WRC ppl crash into trees ppl die makes me even more scared..

You will be oreight mate,some roadrally cars dont even have cages
