Mine had 144K on it when I sold it and it never missed a beat! I think its a bit like Vanos on E36 M3's the reported problem is far worse than the actual problem.

Now E46 rear diffs........ they're a problem - I had/did one every 20K!

very nice, steel grey is a great colour and rare on the M3(not to be confused with the CSL's silver grey which was later given to the rest of the range)
