TB Elbow + Breather

  172
Hi, was thinking about getting a bend to my standard airbox to my TB like a hillpower bend but don't really want to pay £60+ for a bit of pipe! Two wustions:

1) Is the diameter 70mm?
2) Can you relocate the breather pipe somewhere else or place a breather filter on the end of it? What does that pipe do and is it necessary for it to connect to that bend? There are places that do the bend for like £20 compared but with no breather hole.

thanks.

Yeah its 70mm for the bend .

Just get a samco 90 degree bend and a breather filter if you don't want to pay big bucks for the Hillpower bend .

will the first links samco hoses be long enough at each end as the second links hose looks longer:)

Yeah they should be long enough . The ones in the second link , you'll probably have to cut down slightly . It'll also depend on what application your using the bends for . i.e. OEM filter housing or induction kit . I use mine with a green air filter .

Nice one Billyboy!!

So it's 70mm TB side and airbox side? Where does the breather go, on the end of the pipe or on the block somewhere?

Had a look at the cup last nite and everything seems straight foward apart from i couldnt see where the breather hose went, will i have to to atach the breather filter closer to the block to save it flapping about
and what will i use to hold up the cone filter once the the silicone hose is on , i mean i cant see it being strong enough to hold up an air filter on its own

Pics would be a great help, lets see what you guys have done :)

Mines in a custom air box i made myself so it doesn't flap about with it being so big it just rests there . Plus i connected the oil breather pipe to the 90 degree bend .

This is a Samco air hose. It is a 90 degree bend with sizes 80mm-70mm(outside diameters) 70mm-60mm(inside diameters). This item is used but in good condition.

says 70-60? Ahh well nevermind!

You want 70 - 70mm . Not the end of the world , only cost you a couple of quid . Stick it back on ebay ;)
