i wanted 17" cyclones for my Gti-6 but christ it was hard to find a straight set

oh and they were expensive

I had my 306 GTI when it was pretty new so I think the 17's were available new at the time. Internet was in its infancy in early naughties I think I was on 1p a min dial up with Tesco......

I used to have bit problems getting my Cyclones balanced even on 15's.

Fuel pipe fractured and spraying fuel onto manifold??

stuff like that does make you think about getting one of those fire safety sticks to put in your older car

They usually do a fuel line and fill the V up with fuel so when it catches there's a good few liters in the bay already. 😟

Guy at work had an old Ferrari under a set of council flats (no clue how/why) some V12 thing which caught fire big time, he had left it warming up with the rear end sticking out the garage. Was apparently super sketchy with regard to setting the block of flats on fire etc.

Not sure, smoke starting coming out of engine bay and before he could pop the bonnet the car turned into a fireball.
