there's a house on our street with a fiesta Si dumped on the drive, don't think it's moved for about 8 years. Not much of a spot but I can't remember the last time i saw one on the road.

Wired looking car, just looked like ford had taken bumpers of a completely different shaped car and stuck them on their current Fiesta.

Still a decent looking shape when done nicely. I drive one on the way to work each day! Don't stop anywhere nearby to be able to take a photo though.

On a P-plate, it could be an RS2000 or a GTI. Or just a lower model with the skirts of course. Had loads of those Escorts over the years. Still have a soft spot for them.

2.0l so probably an RS, proetty sure the GTi was 1.8

Yeah GTI was a 1.8. Wasn't really that quick really. I had a couple with a 2.0-litre Zetec in, as it was a really easy upgrade and made a reasonable difference, though still not as quick as the RS. Not that any of them are quick by modern standards!

RS was also 4wd on the later ones, which would have sapped about half the 150bhp lol. Still, very pretty cars the Mk6 escort

No idea what model but dont see many 3 door escorts in a fair condition around.

According to my car check app that's an RS2000.

On my way back from the supermarket I passed a 4th generation Pontiac Firebird and some wierd little soft top Jeep on a Q plate, it was about the size of a Mini Moke but was badged as a Jeep and looked like a shrunk Wrangler.

Two and four-wheel ran alongside each other from '94 - '96. Funny car really the 4x4. As you say, it wasn't that quick because of the drivetrain, but the chassis got very good reviews. Some even said that it handled better than the Cosworth. That wouldn't surprise me really, as it had a proper multi-link rear end, rather than the semi-trailing arms of the Cosworth. It's a shame the transfer box is so weak. Been a few turbocharged over the years, but they just eat transfer boxes.

I think you could get lower spec 4x4 Escorts in some parts of Europe.
