I don't often look in this thread, so sorry if it's been posted before. Might not be to everyone's taste, but I liked it!

I'd imagine the cast looking centre piece is fixed to the body and the two gold coloured arms are pivoting track control/wishbones which then attach to the bottom of the rear struts.

  Turbos.
Up until the latest Civic they all had indepedent suspension...

I presume that is just a subframe brace. Saw one on a Civic a while ago and it was almost dragging on the floor!

Probably reposts, but I don't have the time to check.....

The last two pages have been the best since the start of this thread. Pure pornography.

Oh, and to answer Booshy's question: It's a lower tie-bar. Purely for structural reasons. There's one there already on the EK9, but it's feeble in comparison to aftermarket items. BEAKS is the most common manufacturer for the US cars, posted above. Loads of people make them though, Amuse, Spoon, TEIN etc. They're independant anyway, at the back.

Since i'm a Spoon wh*re. This actually gives me an irection.

Looking at those motors, it's actually surprising to see that there aren't many owners on here who have gone in that direction. I mean, I'm pretty sure a large majority of guys on here would own most of the cars on show. A lot of the cars are pretty cheap as a base model, and the looks and tuning potential is incredible.

Owning a Japanese car myself (Ok, UK and Prodrive fettled, but still a Jap motor), it's easy to see the attraction. You really could do some proper damage with any number of these cars, and all for relatively small sums of money, really.

I think people just need to take the plunge. Like I say, it's surprising that more people haven't just gone down this route, even for the "been there, done that" phase.

Definitely!

I'm still tempted to buy a tidy EK9 and spend the rest of building it up, using the rest of my budget... say £5k. It's a serious "heart-not-head" decision though, taking into account that i'll never get any of that money back. Opposed to my normal plan of buying a DC5 for around £12k.

I can't think of another hatchback that looks so good, modified though. Seriously. The raft of parts available is staggering.

Kyles DC5 is a UK/USDM front end ;) I found loads of mint modded ones but avoided posting them so someone didn't point that out (except for the yellow one with the mugen spoiler that you don't see the front end in the pics, lol)
