The New Phone Thread

Received the fold 5 today and its amazing, loving the bigger screen for my fat fingers and split screen.

Should have got one years ago.

Worth every penny
 
In law needs a new phone. She's currently got a Sony L1 which is absolutely rammed full due to the OS, the whole 16gb... All her photo's have been put on Google cloud and deleted off the device. I don't remember phones having so little memory.

She's after something she can buy outright, fairly cheap (with a decent-ish camera)

She likes Sony.

She has 16gb of memory in her phone? Where the f**k did you find her... 2004? That's impressive!

One of the Experia V MK4 or 5 possibly?

It was the cheapest Sony that you can buy contract free about 7 years ago.
She puts £20 on every 6 months 😂


I've seen the Pixel 7 for £350 new in Argos (she wants to go to a shop and get it rather than online). She's just concerned about a new OS but it'll be simpler than Sony as she's got Google apps which duplicates the Sony ones (not helping on space)

Pixel is good. Camera is great. She would be fine.

how much would be roughly if i were to sell my iPhone 13 Pro Max Sr Blue 256BG privatly? condition is pretty much perfect and scratch free , looking at poss selling this one to get a new iPhone outright

Very impressive first impressions. The fold looks insane. So thin, decent price! And folk loved that book style form factor.

The pixel 9 pro is now a sensible size and offer the XL for the bigger screen. This truly could be Pixels year! Seeing more and more pixels and flips out and about.

I'm still considering down sizing my phone. I used a iPhone 12 on holiday for most of it because of the size and the lack of care it required. Sun cream etc. Loved the small form factor. Possibly once the iPad mini 7 comes out I will downsize to a 6.1/6.3 phone.

iPhone 15 pro (non max) the current top runner but iOS so frustrating at times. Like a literal party that apple invites you to, charges you and tells you what you're allowed to do. I could write a proper review after nearly 2 weeks with the iPhone 12 and iOS!!
 
I’ll be awaiting the 16 pro max. Depending on pricing I may just get the smallest storage and bump up my iCloud package. There’s no chance I could go back to a smaller phone. Using my work phone (XR) feels so awkward.
 
What about this iPhone Air rumour for next year... I'm sure it'd look incredible, but after the initial wow you're just going to miss the battery life surely!
 
I think i'm a tad underwhelmed by it. It's obviously uber cool but as a use case?
 
From avforuns mate, I was after the 23 ultra but the 24 was advertised so i jumped on it. It's the samsung limited titanium blue.

I have the A55 which is a brilliant phone in my opinion, highly recommend that to anyone.

I've never known a guy change phones so much. It's mental! Fair play for you doing it because there's no way I could do it.

You should at least do some real world review with them all on YouTube. 🤣

What's next after the S24 Ultra then? You've got to be eyeing something up already
