The oldest Williams driver

  Willy2

Out and about in Chiswick today with dirty_bry we stumble upon this willy2, couldnt believe it so we get chatting to the guy and he was retired and defo 65+, but on talking to him, it turns out he owned the car from new and loved it, when i asked if he drove fast he said no! but it was good to see someone who loved his Williams as much as i do and it had the original stereo. His wife came back and she was not too pleased with her husband as most women just dont understand! Boys and their toys!

not everyone who drives a willy is a boy racer! :D

good on the guy, driving the willy not cos its fast, but cos its a bloody nice car. To the untrained eye it would be "just another clio" but obviously this guy loves his car for what it is... a classic hot hatch. :D

Theres a very old chap who parks up along the seafront in Thorpe bay ( Southend ). His Williams looks brand new.

He and his wife sit having sandwiches and he watches the ships on the estuary.

Nice to see these great cars so well cared for.

No you are not over the hill yet...i am older than you.

(Pssst i was joking about Williams owners being old farts)

Im only 23, but Ive spent the last six months getting my Williams totally standard (even got original mats, tape deck and dealer stickers).

My lady and I are off to Ireland next week in it too - old skool touring, tartan blankets and all!

Its nice to see old boys driving cars we love so much...

When I was at uni, a pensioner used to own a 5 GT Turbo Raider....like new it was. I beleive he still has it...

Age only a number, never to old ;-)

When Im in my more senior years (if I get there of course) I hope to own a mint Escort Cossie or a mint Lotus Carlton.
