The so-called CS ''Sheep''

• YozzaSport Exhaust
• Recaro's
• Silvervisions
• H & R's or AST Coilovers
• AST or Mark Fish Topmounts
• Megane Foot Rest
• Painted Side Bullets

Any of the above should see you reet.

Now I really don't understand why people ridicule it? Does it not make sense that the mods above are probably some of the best you can do to a CS?

Can somebody please explain to me why it is a bad thing to fit turinis (IMO the best looking wheel for a CS) just because somebody else has them?

It's not the worst thing. That list is what makes the Clio look best.

It may be "exhausted" mod on here, but you have to remember CS covers the whole of the UK and some other countries too.

How many other CS do you see when your out and about? Or around your area... not that many..

follow the crowd and rename the forum to sheep sport - some people change things to be different or even because heaven forbid they like the changes they've done. gets a bit boring looking at another clio with the same mods as the those gone before. It's nice to see some individuality - granted some mods are OTT however each to their own. baarr

If you look at that list of mods you'll see that aside from the cosmetic bits, most are true performance enhancers.
Turini's. Lighter and wider.
H&R's /AST's/ Top mounts. Self explanatory.
Yozza exhaust. As above.
The fact they are the best lookng/sounding is coincidental.

The rest then depends on how imaginative you can be with your 'individual' mods i.e colour coding, badges etc.
What the other French car clubs probably get annoyed with is that we win stand of the show without the use of hideous body kits.

end of the day, i have never seen a badly modified CS, 182 172 bla bla, seen some terrible non sports, but all in all nothing sticks out in my mind of ever seeing a bad cs, so the mods that get used cant be that bad!?

I don't consider coilovers Yozza exhaust etc a 'sheep' trend tbh.

I think the standard wheels in exploding amphasite, ludicrous coloured badges, civic type-R ariel and some silvervisions are the choice of mods for the sheep of today.

alot of the mods are popular for a reason... visually better, perf better. they are going to become popular arent they.

then people who have a thing where they dont want to conform will say people are sheep for wanting these. its a circle and the sites been there before, many times.

why u so bothered what people think? some like standard, some rat, some euro, some value perf over looks.... if you like it, do it. your not hurting anyone.

Surely pretty much every mod possible has been done to the clio, so i dont think you are a sheep if you have chosen the best of all that have been done.

This guy has hit the nail on the head, the reason people put silly mods on their cars is because they want to be be able to say "my cars modified" but they can't afford to do proper mods like those listed above and try to disguise the fact that they are cheap skates by saying things like "I want to do something different".

There are exceptions though where people do different things and genuinely start a new trend but as said previously you need a brain as simply slapping daft wheels on for example won't pull it off.

I call a spade a spade and I speak from experience when I say if you cannot afford to modify your car properly then don't do it at all and I'm sure many will agree.

well if ya gona mod a car i think you should do everything to how u like it, sum people will like it some wont, end of day u do things to it that u like and that ure happy wiv, your the one driving it and got to put up with it not them, i dnt have much money but il buy the things that im happy with and if none of you lot liked it then i wudnt care coz its my car and not any1 elses.
