The Witcher 2 - PC

Cant recommend this game highly enough! Id heard bad things about it running poor on peoples systems and not being optimized etc so i downloaded a "copy" first to prevent parting with £30 for something i was unable to play. Turned out it ran perfectly so i uninstalled it and reinstalled a purchased Steam version out of respect.

Im not even into my RPG games having not played the original Witcher and having only played the Fable series and DragonAge previously but this is in another league. Its getting good reviews as well.

They have also announced any future DLC will be free

I think I'll get this when it drops in price on Steam. I've got the original in the Enhanced Edition pack and that was pretty good. I liked the small novella that came with it too.

Well they updated The Witcher 2 to the Enhanced Edition for free via Steam. Came as a 1.2GB patch and this time has the quite frankly superb assassination sequence at the start - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg3zf1ZmRz0

Set to Ultra on the graphics settings, it looks stunning. But hovers between 17 and 22fps - lol. Time for some more hefty SLi-enabled cards, methinks?

Your PC should piss it m8. But with all the taps opened, I think its a bit much for my twin GTX460's to cope with.

Had a quick go on the new version last night, only about 20 minutes to get through the prologue. Very few games I'd happily play through again, but this is definitely one of them. Tis' a masterpiece
