Thinking about changing my motor...

Toying with ideas at the moment, so just thought I would guage possible interest in my mean machine!! lol I love her to bits but thinking bout other options.

Havent made any kind of decisions or anything, just thinking bout stuff!!

For those who dont know it my car is as follows:

Citrus Green Clio 2003 (Registered 04/04/03) 1.4 16v Dynamique with Billabong Pack

Climate Control, Electric Sunroof, 6 disc multi changer and CD player.

Tinted rear windows. Renault double spoiler.

Currently lowered 60mm on PI springs with 17" Toora Plat 8s (also have standard wheels and springs).

Has ICE install too, but may take this out??

It is all perfect condition, very well cared for as it is my baby. Done 10300 miles and no service needed till 18000. Just taxed this month for the year.

Looking for offers in excess of £7500 I think?? Maybe more with wheels and ICE??

Why do you want to change? Sounds like a lovely car, try having the 1.2 without climate control for 2 1/2 years then you will understand how I feel now that the warm weather has started to arrive (

It is a lovely, lovely car - it is my baby and I would be very sad to see it go, but just thinking bout other car options and clearing my credit card etc. I have paid/spent a lot of money on it too!!

Nothing fixed yet though like I sadi, just testing the water really!!

To buy it new from Renault before any of the mods would be £11100!!!

I think youll get about £6.5 maybe 7 for a private trade unfortunatly you can buy them new on discoutn deals quite cheap I think 9k rings a bell and and people will pay for a enw one.

You could sell the wheels, lights, springs, cd changer and spolier for more than youll be able to seel them with the car maybe £1k.

Unfortunatly Clios loose value very fast takes a few yrs before they stop falling heavily in value.

For all the extras its got from Renault - I dont think you could get it for under £9500 even through a broker!!!

Have done a lot to the car too - so will only sell it if I can make a good price anyway!!!

May sell as standard anyway, but purely testing the water at the mo!

Cheers mate! Still trying to decide what I am doing, so havent got to the ebay stage, but could try it I spose. Quite an individual colour though, so probably a specific audience!! Gets you noticed though!! lol

I have to say, down at Southend, April got the jump on me at a roundabout and raced past! Very pokey for a 1.2, took me until 2nd gear before I was coming past... now, dont get me wrong 2nd gear - hahah and all that, but im talking 40-50mph 2nd gear in the Cup, and we know that has rapid acceleration.

Will never forget the grin on your face as I came back past. I beleive it was something like... "Little Clio 1 - Cup 0"

Either way, beautiful looking car, never ever seen one in the same colour. If you do sell it, hope you buy something just as unique!

Cheers Si! Its a 1.4 - but still a lot different from a 172!! Mine is pretty nippy though I must admit!! I drove a 1.2 for three weeks and they are not nippy - I kept forgetting, pulling out to overtake and nearly killing myself in the 1.2!!!! LOL!!

All my cars have been unique - so if I do get another one, that will be too - no worries there!!! lol

There are very few about!! Never looks as nice in photos though - its beautful in the sun!!
