Fabia vRS
Hello everyone,
I just finished off a full service on my car today including fitting the new aux belt kit.....the engine sounds so much nicer :approve:
To cut to the chase I cleaned the throttle body but had some problems with tightening up the bolts. I use a torque wrench on all bolts throughout my car and the Renault service manual says to do these up to only 13Nm - not very tight. The problem is that I couldn't even get them that tight...they just seemed to keep rotating far more than I would expect' which leads me to believe the threads in the end of the plenum are f**ked. I didn't risk over tightening them and completely screwing up the threads, so the throttle body is secured for now.
I think in the future I might have to retap the threads with some helicoils. Has anyone else had this problem? Help would be appreciated.
