Too many 172s...

Car  2002 Clio 172
I got mine exactly a year ago and there weren't many about by me. Now 2 of my mates have gone and bought 172s the same year as mine (2002) but luckily different colours and there are quite a few others aswell!!!

Seems everyone has now realised what good value and fun cars they are, need to make mine look better now though. Wheres the number for k-tec for a carbon splitter.....

Opposite is happening here, I used to see 2 Cups every day but they've both sold up now. Think about how many Renaultsports have been sold they aren't that common on the road really, quite a few 182s but 172 numbers seem to be dwindling a bit.

Compared to something like the Civic Type R (20,000 of them in Britain I believe) they are generally pretty rare. And the good thing from your point of view is that all the Mk2s have been sold now, so they will get rarer by the week!

occaisonally see another cup on my run to work and my mucker has an exclusive but apart from that hardly see any about at all.

You will surprised to know that the UK is the biggest Renaultsport customer in the world. Us lot just love the hot hatch's.

Oh and we also have the biggest convertible (Renault) market in the world to, werid as we get all the bloody rain...........:S

D

I was enjoying being one of the only local Nighthawk Black Type R's, until tonight when one has appeared on a driveway 2 roads over.

Gutted. lol.

I hardly see any 172's around. But I see a lot of 182s.

Yup, same here. But 182s are still not that common around where I am. Luckily I chose a monaco blue 172 and not silver as I like having something a bit different ;) . Even flame red is more common than blue in my experience...

You know that monaco blue is the way forward! ;)

I see more 182's than I do 172's round here. (cambs) Although I pass the same silver 172 every day on the way to work.

starting to see a load of 172's cropping up my area, however most are semi-chavved on big wheels, lexus lights and stuck on sticker stacks :banghead:
