Len, once I've got them changed over you are welcome to them, ill give you a nudge.

I like the way my brakes feel on track, just want the ABS part of it to be removed, and in addition more engine bay space.

Chip, is it a 172 Cup master cylinder I need to get, or can I use the 182 Trophy item?

Thanks Kelv. I'll drop you some beer tokens over.

It's a Cup master cylinder although I believe you can use a 200 item to save swapping certain lines.

Cheers.

sod it, wanted post gone up for a cup item.
ill see if i can run the lines through the car and use a bias control incar aswell.

  Cup In bits
Have a look at dingers thread Kelv, he just run copper inside the car (bias valve) and braided lines down the axle and into the rear calipers.

He has eBay linked everything on his thread except m10 locking nuts iirc for the bulkhead fittings. You might need one m10 bleed nipple too for one of the un used ports that goes to the rear from the master cylinder.

well, its all over for the little Trophy.

after having a new engine fitted, delete PAS and a few other bits, ive finally thrown in the towel, and taken the spanners to it over the wekeend.
shes no longer to be, breaking her down slowly over the coming week or two and selling it all off.

roll on the R27 new project for 2014 :)

its final glimpse of daylight :(

Why strange Tony?

id always said to myself that towards the end of the year I'd move on to a 197 and make a new track car from it.
It's just moving on to new challenges and projects, no different to how I've done in the past with other cars.
i get bored and like the idea of something new :)

  182cup & 172 racecar
I just find it strange when people finish something, all ready to drive etc, then either sell it or break it.

I just dont get it. Thats all..

Sam, we go in just over 3 weeks mate.

Tony, the Trophy was only ever going to be a short term bit of fun for me anyhow.

your not far off wrong there Chip.
I think when we added it all up we were knocking on the door of 55k invested.
pulling it apart, we recouped 38k, the majority of that was from Sailor Boy Richie.

Flol, that man spends a RIDICULOUS amount of money on ford bits, its not like he is a millionaire in the first place either.

He is quite literally mental.

im half tempted to resurrect the Trophy, I cant gel with the 197.
and tbh, with a few current health drama's, im thinking its better the devil you know.

Sorry for being a selfish git and not wanting to sell you back your ASTs mate :(

its only because I know they worked perfectly and had no issues atall, that I would want them back. (even tho the springs looked a little shabby)
they are an awesome bit of kit, and probably the one item I would snap up as a priority if I could have them back again.

far from selfish tho Chip, I don't blame you, but I had to ask just in case ;)

still all yours Jamie.

just because I intend on bringing it back to life, doesn't mean ill be needing to keep the engine and bits you are having.
sourcing a spare engine and a few bits isn't really end of the world for me mate.
as planned, let me know when you are working in Kingston and wishing to grab the bits.

No worries, didn't bother rushing after reading about your back being worse.

Will give you a shout soon :)

oh don't, I had another consultation at the back specialist yesterday afternoon/evening.
they now seem to think that im missing two small bones in the lower part of my back, which probably wasn't there when I was born, but until the past few years with the discs damage hasn't caused much of a problem.
the suggestion going forward from here is I may now have to have keyhole surgery and two small pins fitted.

  XC90, 330d, Trophy’s
I've had all sorts over the past few years chi, steroid based injections into the discs, epidurals etc, of which left me with a mild spinal leak aswell, almost on going physio for the past few years aswell.

Dave, we bought it, Kim used it for days before I gave it a quick bit I ring prep.
took it to the ring on the trailer and just had no love for it in the slightest.
weve been back 5 weeks now and the car is still strapped down on the trailer... It says a lot for the car!!

admittedly there have been other issues aswell, but at no point have I thought about unloading the car.
