Turbo conversion, brake servo one way valve?? confused.

I finished my turbo today (ish) i put a 1 way valve on the brake servo line and the brakes are shocking.

now im confused, if its a one way valve, then how does it get vaccum? if no air can travel that way, isnt it the same as just blocking the brake servo hose up?

maybe you have the one way valve the wrong way around?

its going the right way.

The car has been parked up for a good 6 months so mayeb thats why thier so bad.

i just dont understand how it can get vaccum with a 1 way valve, as said isnt that just the same as blocking it up

one way valve - air flows from the servo to the plenum creating a vacuum, what's not to understand?

once the air leaves the servo it cant get back in, so there will be no air in it, how can it create a vacuum if its essenitaily just closed off?

the valve im using is from a volvo turbo of some sort.

Danny, how can you plumb is like that? it just has an in and an out onit ?
someone told me you dont need the one way valve because theres somesort off pressure regulator in the servo??

blow through it, then put the side you can't blow through from towards the engine

They have a one way valve built into the servo as std.
I've done a couple of turbo instals and not used a second one way valve, they've been good for a bar or so of pressure.

The vacuum is "used" when you press the brake pedal. The times when the engine is running under low throttle or on over run, give enough of a vacuum to keep the servo in near constant vacuum.
