There a few turbo 172/182 now.

I've seen this up close when it wasn't putting out such high bhp.

Looked solid, reliable and produced good figures on the rolling road at the time.

PMSL i mean wtf is ''turbo spec'' spark plugs lol....also what is the ''turbo ecu programme'' all that is, is a chip wizards plug and play programme!! thus makes it run rich as a mofo for a happy medium so it dont det

lovly car minus the set up.....had dealings with b+b tuning many moons ago and never again simple as.................

Turbo spec plug I take to mean colder setting plugs.

I agree, I don't think it likly to be that high hp wise after all interesting they say at a RR test the car made 265.3 BHP with 270 FtLb of torque (http://www.bbperformancetuning.co.uk/articles/article.asp?id=60) than another RR test
(http://www.bbperformancetuning.co.uk/articles/article.asp?id=58) 276BHP at only 12 psi.
I think there 320hp claims are down to the fact the turbo can make the 20psi which would most likly with mapping etc give that power.

As Edde says, turbo spec plugs will mean they have colder ratings iirc. And the ECU will be a fastchip program on stock ecu as Fastchip do pretty much all the Clio turbo maps, it is definitely not a chip wizards off the shelf map, I think

Saying that I still wouldn't buy it at that price.

as for the rollers, theres next to no load on them, carnt really tell on them videos but if the clio spins up on the rollers there bound to come up with the 320hp figure

would love to see the figures of that car on a bench or hub dyno...that would really open a can 'O' worms!!

I've seen that car on the rollers - it put out 400 & something bhp, the figure was a bit wrong though as the car kept slipping & couldn't get the power down.

I'm not so sure of that given Fastchips history, they developed one of the first decent turbo packages for the F7P engine (and it was bloomin' cheap as well, talk abotu rip off britain) and I know they've worked closely with the guys who sell the 172/182 turbo packages on the mapping. I'd put money on this ecu being mapped by Henk himself, esp since this is their demo car.

But I can tell you've got a grudge against BB/other turbo conversions so can see we'll never agree

the only grudge ive got is against bb....anybody who does an turbo conversion on there car ive got the upmost respect for

so your telling me the time you put a car on the moniters after a turbo coversion/ rubuild using an of the shelf/tuner package ecu/chip it wont be running rich?? its got to be in my eyes mate...its nye on impossible to map the ecu before hand...

this is not a go or any dig just an conversation im interested in

I had dealings with so called tuners and most talk s**t, there power claims are mostley s**t because they run race fuel for the dyno plus whats the point in this type of mapping, live map is the only way. I wish amhed bayhoo would map renaults

hit the nail on the head mate really, however the race fuel has got nothing to do with it as you have to map to the fuel your using on the road tbh....bayhoo wont map or re-map fully on the road mate!! he'll put the basic map on the ecu on the rollers then go out on the road to tweek it i.e put in/take fuel out, its much better getting the optimum map on the road as your getting all real life caricteristics(sp)
