Unbreakable 172 from South Africa

Hi All

Compliments of the season! My unbreakable 172 decided that recording kilometers was not necessary anymore and stopped doing so about four years ago. 214635kms was enough. I suspect it has covered maybe 300000-350000kms in total. It has had all services done by Renault SA from day 1 and 1 clutch kit, 1 dephaser pulley was the only major repairs ever needed. I bought it new in 2001, Valentine's day gift to myself. Except for a decat, it is 100% original, missing only 2 centre wheelcaps. A high idling problem brought me here. Hope to find answers.

It's an E55, my daily drive. '04, 230,000kms later, totally addicted to 95unleaded, but goes well. grin factor not as big as in the clio.

High idling problem sounds like an air leak, or a sticking throttle body.
