v6 and 182 /172 turning circle

the 197 circle is pretty pants too.

tbh, i think it mite not be too bad, but because they're small cars, you just psychologically expect them to be miles better.

Nothing wrong with the 197 turning circle at all!

never ever ever take a V6 through a MacDonald's drive through or the multistory at Gatwick, i caused chaos (and a traffic jam!)

the first thing i noticed when i picked my 172 up was its turning circle was alot less than my Asta H.

but i thought it was due to my astra having 15"'s.

then again i never had any probs will turning in the 172.

turning circle on my 172.....rubbish!

anyone else think the turning circle on their RS is pretty poor? i had a golf gti and a 106 gti prior to my 172 and the turning circle seems pretty rubbish considering the side of the car! anyone else find this?

Re: turning circle on RS.....rubbish!

my mark 1's circle is utter pants, both the slammed turbo and the std'ish williams

Re: turning circle on RS.....rubbish!

I think quite a few people in the other thread about this commented on how they didn't like the turning circle.

Re: turning circle on RS.....rubbish!

it has faily large and wide wheels for a small car. so it will never be great

Re: turning circle on my 172.....rubbish!

lol it really does suck, ive been in some sticky situations where its been a 3 point turn where i really should be able to get round it in a U-turn in any other car! also pulling out onto the road from in front of my house can be tricky at times!

ohh the things we must put up with to enjoy our cars :P

Re: turning circle on my 172.....rubbish!

I have no problems with it. At least i have PAS now :)

Re: turning circle on my 172.....rubbish!

i have no problems with mine, would the fact that you have big wheels not affect your turning circle?

Re: turning circle on my 172.....rubbish!

mine is crap on the 172, think it seemed even worse on my 1.2 extreme

my mate in his very old corsa can turn in one go at the bottom of my street whereas in the two clios i have had it takes to turns :( so in answer to the thread " yes " they are rather shite !

I watched Mark Fish get a Clio V6 Trophy race car off of his back lift and out of the workshop. The racers turning circle was apparently even worse than the standard car and it took about 20 times back and forward!

I've always found the turning circle on my 182 to be pretty rubbish, however its been a joy to drive on an open road.

God knows what an RS clio is like then because i think my 1.2 has a poor turning circle.
