You've opted for the highly unusual colours of Black, Silver, Red and Blue for the new 197.

There goes my order for one. JT, if you're reading (seeing as evo imply you care so much about relaying what the customer wants) I want a white one ta.
 
i have to agree actually, but remember there will no doubt be cup versions in some decent colours.
 
Nothing even adventurous like Liquid Yellow, Inferno, or Petrol Blue. Very tame by Renault's standards.
 
there will be some new colours.... think about the 172s...... then the 182.
 
They teased us with that lovely yellow Cup car then we get very tame colours you would expect to see on a Rover or something, Nimbus is the only standout colour for me.

White, yellow and something a bit mad like Inferno would be nice. I guess they are saving some of the better colours for the new versions that will follow.
 
Finally sum decent colours! No obnoxious blues, oranges or yellows! lol

Red all the way!
 
The black doesn't look as good as it does on the current model, the red looks the better of them imo. Haven't seen blue tho - hope it's like the current petrol blue
 
The ultra blue was the colour on the Megane at the Autosport Show, was not bad.

That blue is quite nice. Also, the anthracite wheels make a big difference. The 197 might look better with dark wheels.

I thought the same on the wheels.
 
Seeing that is is a new shape, new engine size you would think they would do something special for the colour like flip paint or something LOL.
 
i must admit the colours ive seen for the new clio sport are dull - a few bright colours would be better however i feel that theyve made the shape more girly than the original clio sports - and thats gonna stop me buying one
 
^^^ Me too! That blue does look lovely, but why do Renault only give us a little insight? I can't believe that they are only going to be 5 colours for this model. Only 3 metallic's?

That would be ace. A limited run of 400 or something pushing silly power in a limited colour. Like the Williams was back in the day.
 
Does Mr TOwnsend frequent this place anymore? I've still not heard back from him after much questioning as to what they intend to do colour-wise.

It's a bloody shame imo, 'cos the rest of the spec sounds fantastic. I love, for example, that they haven't resorted to bloody turbos for the power.
 
dont forget when the first 172 was only available in titanium silver for the first 6 months, only difference is that it was the bestest colour ever.
 
Maybe when they do cup packs a few months after the first people have ordered in the normal Renault way ;)
