Western Digital External HD any1 got 1?

woke up this morning to find out that 50% ov my music has been removed form the HD , now i dont kno how the hell it happend, but does any1 kno if you can get them back ??

or am i just gona have to download all over again? any1 else had any problems like this with their WD

Run this on the drive and you should get them back just don't put anymore files on the drive till you recover the old ones.

thanks, iv done the scan and it says 765 ignored files :S. how do i get them back from there then ?

Can't run it on mine to test as I'm using Linux at the moment, but can you tick the box on the left and then the button 'Recover'?

With XP Pro/ Vista you can also send the folder back to a previous version if you have ever enabled the functionality....

Right click/ properties/ previous versions

You mean the WDC Passport ? i nearly bought one yesterday. I have a 160 gig spare hard drive tbh, and allthough its hardly portable i dont feel the need to buy a passport.
