Hello!
I've just asked some questions in the 'new to cliosport' forum as I'm looking to go back to a 182 from our current Megane R26 to downsize...
However, this was one of the last 182's we had: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59037264@N05/sets/72157625941609581/
Unfortunately one evening the mrs was driving it home and lost it on bend because the farmers had made the road really muddy when leaving the fields. She flipped it at 60 through a hedge end-to-end before landing back in the road on the correct side, just a little worse for wear. She missed all the trees and telegraph poles literally was cartwheeling between them all!
Car was a write off (less than 2 years old at the time) and she walked away almost uninjured (still has a bit of pain in her back now and then). They are safe little cars!
The drivers seat actually broke off its rails and was loose apart from a front bolt holding it in place, and the side airbags blew. You can see in the pics it is quite far back - not how the seat was positioned, that was cos it moved...
Considering she was travelling at 60mph when she lost it (although she can't exactly remember as she blacked out) the car faired pretty well. It did at least two full cartwheels (front, back, front, back) before landing back on the road. The rear suspension as you can see gave out and the springs were actually up in the hedge! A 3" round branch that was about 4ft long from the hedge had speared the passenger side headlight - thank god that didn't go though the windscreen. I found the RoaAngel about 25+m away in the field - it must have been propelled out the back window from the dash.
Just hope no-one is driving around in KT04 EFG thinking it is a nice straight motor :S
Anyway, any advice of what to look out for when buying a Clio 182 (i.e. common faults, issues etc) would be appreciated!
