What do these lights signal please (182)

  LY 200
Coming into work this morning and all of a sudden (58 miles on from home), as im going down a hill and stopping at some traffic lights the service light pops on aswell as the ABS and the car with the slippery lines (best way to explain it lol).

Its only on 20116 so not due a service yet and the brakes were changed at 14kish. Iv had a quick look at them the discs look fine......They havnt exactly been cained that much so surely they should be lasting abit more than 6k if thius is a brake fault?

When i turned the ignition off and back on again the lights didnt come back on so is this just a dash problem?

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Had this on mine, Renault couldn't replicate the lights but their fault computer reckoned a sensor on the brake pedal needed adjusting. :s

Let me know if you find out what causes it - I'd be interested to know if they're even in the right ball park.

And pads on mine were changed 3k ago - and happened 2k after the change, so no brake pad wear.

Its a faulty brake light sensor.... had this on mine and renault should know and fix it no probs (hopefully).

yeah i would say its the fluid levels too, and going down the hill put the fluid level below the sensor... so its telling you to top it up.

Well, i used to get this light up when i was gently braking approching traffic etc.... if i hammered and slammed on the anchors everywhere it was fine.

Took it to renault, replaced brake light sensor and has never happened again.

The brake fluid reservoir is hiding at the back left. If you remove the engine cover you will see it easily.

I had the same prob when mine was 6 months old. It is the brake pedal sensor and Renault know about it. Mine has been fine since they changed it nearly 2 years ago.

Mine comes on if your holding the car on the brakes at the lights, if i edge forward and then pump the pedal it trigger's it ...and i have had the fix thing 3 times in the past..... Got used to it now ..Just turn the car on and off job done.
