What have you done to your car today ???

As my youngest son would say 'Today was a bad day!'

Got my cheapo cat delivered so set about fitting it, pre-cat lambda fitted, post-cat not so straightforward. The threaded union on the cat had been welded on misaligned to the hole in the pipe meaning it fouled the tip of the sensor. I decided to get my dremel out to grind a clearance for it, this may have been a mistake as when I wound the sensor in it tied up just before seating on the sensor crush washer. Despite trying to remove the lambda carefully it totally Fecked up the thread so now I have a ballsed up lambda and a tampered cat. Selling a genuine cat isn't such an attractive deal all of a sudden!😤

Took the car to mercedes for a recall. Pleasantly surprised that they washed and hoovered it, but annoyed they didnt wipe the door shuts down. :(

Mounted splitter and all the supports. This will do.

With the ACF50 - do you just spray it on and that's that? Or should you wipe it on or do anything in particular? It seems to collect all the shite off the roads on my coilovers.

Finally wired in my underseat sub that I’ve had sat in the box for a couple of months. I went with the In Phase USW300 as a cheaper alternative to the usual Alpine one people use, fits perfectly and sounds great.

I have Alpine SPG components in the front and matching rears, all hooked up to an old BT Kenwood head unit I got from @Gus a few years back.

Looks like the sub is on offer here at the moment, I paid £100 on Amazon for mine - In Phase USW300 Underseat Sub

Interesting, I've just been looking at ducting ideas again 😂

Will they clear the tyres on full lock?

Near side had no issues, offside needed some persuasion with some cable ties, ‘cheap’ plastic though so can only assume manufacturing issue or damaged slightly in transit from the US.

FYI these are £75 posted via eBay global seller program with all tax, shipping etc

It's actually mad how close of a fit they are to looking factory 😂

Did you just gamble on them fitting, or did you measure stuff before ordering?

Stole the idea off @FPummell in his project thread who I believe saw the idea elsewhere I seem to recall. Its funny that the bolts even line up perfectly as well, all I had to do to keep it solid (other than the cable tie) was to drill one hole at the front of the ducts (as pictured above).

Not really today but this week I refitted my exhaust with centre silencer and new Ebay cat then bled the new front braided brake lines. Dropped it back on the floor for the first time in weeks, turned the key and it started straight away after nigh on 2 months. Happy with that!

After 3 years good years of ownership. My Cup ran out of mot and had been sitting in the front garden for some time so I decided to give to a mate for a project. Safe to say he loves it, i did, who wouldnt. Just glad to see it go to a good home. He said he wanted use it as a track car but by the time he got it home he knew it had to be his new daily.

By far the most fun, enjoyable and rewarding car ive owned (cheap too)

Belts, pulleys, and water pump done this afternoon, left the timing to my mate as he's got all the proper tools and done quite a few over the years.

All ready to get swapped over tomorrow 😎

Nice work. Doubt she'll need that doing again in her lifetime? Timing's easy i only destroyed one engine learning how to do it properly.. Its been plain sailing from then onwards :ROFLMAO:

I'll do anything else myself but leave the belts to the expert 😂

The car will be for sale soon, not sure how much value it'll add but there was no way I wasn't putting belts etc on it while it was apart. The clutch I put in last year when the gearbox was changed has still got the writing on the friction plate 😯

Been taking my time on it today but it's half finished now, new engine is all bolted upto the box ready to go in first thing tomorrow.

Fitted a new rear exhaust mount. 2nd one in 3 months. Last one was from eBay and looked a bit dodgy when it arrived. Sure enough it collapsed after a few weeks. Then last week the rubber fell out of the mount.

Replaced it with one of those ‘updated’ ones with the purple insert from BTT. Hoping this one will stay in place

Meant to ask about genuine Renault water pumps at the weekend when I did my engine change.

Do they always come with the hole for the cam belt cover untapped? Wasn't happy at having to do it myself 😂

  clio rs mk4
i fitted led headlights to my mk4 rs. other weekend i fitted led tail lights too
