My latest shopping cart @ cyc had to be put on hold after doing my rear brakes and then deciding to up rate the fronts. Where are my bloody priorities aye, what use are brakes when I could have had an even cleaner car :p

True detailing enthusiasts are able to use our gears to sufficiently control our speed ;) The pros? No brake dust and brakes last longer!

  Clio 182
Since you put it like that, *removes brakes all together* :D

Back to detailing, what drying towels do you guys rate? I keep hearing good things about the wooly mammoth?

  Clio 182
Lol ok looks like it will have to be the wooly mammoth then if you can sleep in it as well as dry your car!

They look like the ones I used to use. Great first time round, then they immediately lose their pile I find.

Mine will be getting demoted to wheels/shuts/exhaust tbh

really? that supprises me. I've used it a fair ammount and so far all is well....It's a fair bit thicker than it looks in the pic on the website.

Nothing touches it. Although for some reason I get the impression the PB version, although its identical, is actually better.

Go through about 6 a year.

My s**ts here. Old friend Carnuba Spritz is back!!

would appear they are very similar as both i4d and PB are sold out

Let's hope the rains gone by next weekend!

Just bought a DIY Sun gun as I don't trust myself making one! Also sent an enquiry off about a garage based locally with lighting and electric supply so I can make a proper start on my paintwork!

As others have said, I gave my kit a healthy top-up yesterday thanks to Shinearama's decent discount. Obviously I saved on the usual postage too.

Scholl S40
Scholl finishing pad
Beluga drying towel
Dodo Juice applicator pads
Dodo Juice Born To Be Mild shampoo
500ml Iron-X
Zaino Z2
2x spray heads
1x foaming head
Bilberry wheel cleaner
4x various ValetPro brushes
4x microfibre towels
2x lambswool mits
EZ Detail wheel brush
Lots of 3M 25mm tape
California Scents cherry freshener

I've also got an unopened tub of Carbon to get started with. That's why I didn't get a new wax.

I still prefer the look of waxes though. Especially Carbon.

I'm after a Karcher next month along with some snow. Suggestions?

Yeah, I'll be going with the Magifoam dude.

What's a decent Karcher (not fussed on other brands) that'll do everything properly?

I prefer Nilflisk (sp). Karcher pumps are plastic on the smaller model and more prone to issues. Nilflisk use metal pumps.

The C110/120 is a superb cheap PW. Look on amazon.

Just a thought. I prefer the Karchers for parts and accessories but the pump thing would make me look at the Nilflisk ones. I think JD had some comments abotu the Karcher ones also.

You couldn't help yourself could you Chris :rasp:

Picked up some bits yesterday from Shinearama as well:

Meguiars DA Microfibre System
Wolfs Nano Glass Sealant
ValetPro APC
Britemax Grime Remover
Tardis 5L
IronX 1L
Couple of Megs bottles
A free trial bottle of TRIX for letting them use my car ;)

Also came away with around £250 worth of sealants, waxes and polishes applied to my bonnet as well so that's always a bonus!
