what price should i sell my 172 + Pics

  MKIII 138

hi,

Its a 53 reg 2003 172MKII with 35k miles

.. gonna get the 36k miles service done so it will be fully serviced to next buyer. its never broke, the rear seats havent been sat in, its standard inside apart from a factory fit 6 cd changer under the seat. it has koni shocks on and 30mm apex springs on but im changing them back to the 25/15mm subtle progressive and less harsh eibach prolines so ity will look just a little lower than standard.

it has aftermarket wheels on but im switching back to standard but before i do that im hopefully getting them refurbed in matt black.

the only damage i know off its a tiny front bumper crack near the left fog around 2mm big really really tiny and hard to see if you dont look close or know what your looking for.

so apart from koni + eibach its gonna be standard.

i have had the first service at reno but i only have printed out reciepts of work as i left the log book at home on that occasion. the other service is at my local garage as they are better than reno do more work and give the car a full free valet its stamped this time and will be stamped by them again.

it may not have any warenty left when i come to sell as its uk spec import with only 2 years ????

i would describe the condition as exellent.

can i expect £6500 on ebay as my reserve.

i know on autotrader there are £7k examples with less miles but who knows if there in good nick as they are the very cheapest examples. generally people seem to sell simular example at £7.5k

i have been the only owner.

I got offered £6k trade in for mine yesterday same age and miles.
I was offered £6500 as a trade in by lincoln seat in exchange for a Seat ibiza Cupra TDI but i decided against it.

If i sell private i should get another £500-800 i expect. dealers often give you less to the point of being silly but its an easy way to flog a car i guess.

If you are having the standard wheels refurbished, have them done in silver. The easiest way to sell a car is to have it standard.

The price looks very fair!

All vehicles imported from inside the EU after Oct 2000 come with a full 3 years. 1 years manufacturers & 2 years dealer network(upto 60000 miles)

Arnold Clark Liverpool offered me £7700 for mine against a £12000 2ltr Megane . Mines a 2004 import

cool. just gotta get the eibachs on and the standard wheels cleaned up and fitted. then a whole day proper cleaning before i get it up on ebay.. if that fails at £6500 then il try the longer wait and get it on autotrader + put a big for sale £6500 ono. sticker on my car.

in august, september i should have £9500 in total so i hopefully mite be able to pick up alow milege 182 or 182cup ?
