What should i pay?

  20vt Fiat Coupe(182 Sold)
Thinking of returning to Clio ownership, was a full member on here a year ago ownig a clio 182, been to the odd meet.

Anyways ive been offered a 2003 "53" Clio 172 Cup, In V.G.C, full alloy wheel refurb. Mostly a Renault s/h with only 42k miles. Mot'd Jan 2011 and no tax. 3 owners since new, standard apart from a subtle aftermarket s/s exhaust. No evidence of cambelt change-im sure its 4 years or 72k. Guy wants £4300.

Is this too expensive?

Thanks guys. Always could count on sound advice on here. So would i be looking for it at around £3.5k as it is? Or £3800-with tax and cambelt included?

Yes! for that money i'd want it to be on the better side of 50k
Edited: Scrap my comment above i read it to have 72k (oops).

if the cambelt has not been done i would immediatly knock the price down by £500

Cheers for the advice guys. It was through Arnold Clark in Glenrothes. Car was up at £4295. He said he would refurb the alloys, give 6 months road tax, do a full service and cambelt change, plus give 2 free services and m.o.t tests within ownership for £4500. To be honest it was an alright deal, he was doing it for £138 over 3.5 years, however with that and a monthly insurance of £78 for a second car(being 21), i decided not to go for it.
