its not much slower than the old m3 - apparently bmw's figures for the 335i are very conservative, a lot faster than quoted...

"This 2007 BMW 335i test car blazed from zero to 60 in 4.8 seconds. BMW says the new coupe mit twin-turbo engine and Steptronic six-speed autobox should make that trip in 5.5 seconds. Seven-tenths of a second quicker? That's 13-percent better than BMW's claim."

Should definately have the A3 - cant find figures for the 170bhp version but according to letstorquebhp.com

Audi 2.0T FSI (197bhp) 0-60 = 7.76 0-100= 20.88
Clio 182 0-60 = 6.49 0-100 = 16.82

has bmw 330i at around same figures as a 182, 330d a lot slower. my dad use to have a 330ci and seemed so much quicker than my 182, now has a 335i which is in a different league...

letstorquebhp.com is about as accurate as using a stopwatch that counts in minutes and then just guessing how many seconds were involved.

It's well known and well documented that BMW's 330d is faster than the 330i out of the box.
