Whats the deal with those cheap polished manifolds on ebay....

I'm pretty confident they'll be of the same quality as ssautochrome/xspower manifolds that have been around for years on jap cars. Poor fit, welds that crack and badly machined/warped flanges

They wont last two minutes!

See so many cheap manifolds blowing because they are cracked all over, granted most are on turbo cars but this will be the same.

prob end up like this in 12 months....

I've been running one of these on my 172 Cup for over a year now. Not had a problem at all with it, fitted perfect and good quality gasket with it too. It's Just a mandrel bent stainless manifold without the silly Renault price tag at the end of the day(honestly, do you really think renault have some sort of secret formula that makes their manifold 3 times as much??). Put it along side a Genuine Renault one and guess what!? 'Identical' including the interior finish, a no brainer for the price!
The problem is we all start to believe these silly prices we get charged are justified through better quality. Its all in your head, Renault use the same stainless and welds that all other manufacturers use...

I'd like to take it off and inspect it!

There's a MASSIVE difference in metal quality and weld quality. You really do get what you pay for!
