Whats This Pipe?

Just wonderin what this pipe is. Its runs from the top of a 1.6 16v K4M engine, down under the drivers side headlight and to something under the main frame of the car. The pipe that attaches to it has snapped off.

Its the vacume pipe to the charchol canister.

id like to know this too, i burnt a hole in mine when i had the bulb out and turned the headlamps on lol

Fuel vapour from the sealed fuel tank is released into this canister when the engine isn’t running and stored there instead of being released to the atmosphere. The vapour is then sucked into the inlet manifold and burnt in the cylinders when the engine is running and the ECU opens a valve. Petrol vapour combusts better than its liquid form so if I were you I’d replace it for your own safety.
