Spent 2 years living part-time in Withington (Manchester).
In that time I replaced windows 4 or 5 times. Wingmirrors 3 or 4 times. Windscreen wipers once. One flatmate lost a similar number of windows and on one occasion both wingmirrors, all his wipers and his aerial. Other flatmate got a big dent plus various other minor incidents like ours. Guy across the road had is car ran into by joyriders. A week later they ran into it again and this time got out and walked round his car smashing every window and light (all in broad daylight, middle of the day). In the end we came by an agreement whereby we rotated who got to use the garage and the others parked their cars at the girlfriends/parents.
Also witnessed joyriders doing donuts in the crossroads and one gang of lads sat stationary but the driver had his foot to the floor. They left that car burning.
Also got broken into twice, had the front garden wall vandalised, back garden fence ripped down, front window smashed... the list goes on. Makes it sound like we were victimised but we weren't - Everyone around us got similar treatment. It felt like a fuckin warzone. As far as I could see it was all down to one gang of lads - about a dozen of them, around mid-teens. Go anywhere near em and they used to just run off and give you s**t from a distance.
