When and How to Change Over ECU

  Embarrassed to say

So assuming the rsport ecu invalidates the engine warranty when would be the appropiate time to change back the the normal ecu. Is it the case that anytime the car goes in for work the ecu is checked?

Also can someone direct me to the post that describes how to change the ecu over and what tools i need to do it?

No Renault would only check the ECU if they though it may have been the cause of the problem or need to load more uptoday software onto it.

If you take the car in for service work leave it on I say but for warently work if it could be blamed for the failure take it of.

But surely if you take it in for a service they will update the software on your ECU and do a fault check on it, then when they check it out and find the ECU has been swapped they may report it to Renault and try and null the warrenty on the engine.

lets says you fit the rsport and it goes in for a service..is there any chance the rsport ca be damaged or wiped by renault for any reason at all!!!

Well the new ecu has improved my car so I dont really want to take it off. All i want to know is what tools I need to keep in the car, so that if it does break down i can swap over quickly. Also where exactly is the ecu and is it hard to swap them around.
