Where do you phase 1 172 owners route your air feeds?

I got hold of a phase 1 172 airbox last week and have just been playing around with fitment and feed options.

I currently have 1 76mm feed running from the base of my wheel arch liner to my phase 2 air box but fancy 2 70mm feeds running to the same place.

Where do you guys run your aftermarket air feeds?

I leave them where they are.

Although it's easier on a ph1 because of the holes in the upper part of the bumper, which ph2s dont have.

You could route one to the lower grill?

I did this with mine

When i still drove a Saxo 16v i modified my airfeed (going to a Viper box) to take in air directly from behind the bumper (where the radiator opening was). Really could notice the difference, car reacted better with a lot of air being forced in there.

Now with my cup i'm thinking of sacrificing a fog-light and make the airfeed-entrance there. There are nice "scoops" available that are a direct fit into the foglight compartiment, bit expensive though ! Check out Yozzasport, they have them on the site somewhere under brake upgrades. (because the scoop is meant for brake cooling)

only thing is, dont know if the airfeed will suck up too much water/dirt etc. when taking in air from this place !?

The two options above look very similar to what I am thinking of doing but I think I will run one feed right to the base of the wheel arch and stop the other short allowing two air feed sources.

Are the hoses used 70mm id?

Mine are either 70mm or 76mm, im thinking of changing to some slightly smaller ones though maybe 63mm.
