where is the IAT sensor on a 172 cup?

hi all i'm new to the site
i'v had a 53 plate 172 cup for about 6months now and i'm getting a little bored with the power so wanna increase it not so much that i'm gonna put too much stress on the engine. just wanna get it to be arround the 200bhp mark. any suggestions. Also where is th IAT sensor i have an induction kit fitted so guessing it's not where it should be.!?! any pictures whould be a great help of a link where i could find out.:)

well now your talking about the IAT your thinking of the old resistor trick? it will fook your engine up and you will use more fuel. Look on the inlet manifold its to the right on the 4th runner.

offers in the region of the plenium chamber i think its the one on the right as you look at it. but i will be corrected in 'bout 10 sec LOL
don't for f***s sake fit one of those shite resistors

i was looking at them wanted to see where they would go had a feeling they would be poo!!! seems to simple to be any good!!!! thaks for the advice:)

what are the k-tech replacement ECU's like the one that shif the rev limit from 6800 to 7200?!?!?

Dont muck around with the replacement ECU's. Get yourself down to RS Tuning at Leeds.

They'll re-map the engine to the mods youre running, or intending to run and increas the rev limit to 7650rpm.
