where to fit my tweets

i gt a set of component speakers i want to fit into my mk1 phase three clio. I have decided that i am going to place the 5.25" midbass drivers in the doors, in little door builds angling them up and slightly across at angles across the chambre, wll play round with tat. But as for tweeter placement, need some suggesion to where ppl have fitted theres?

i thought my best option would be the a pillars to be honest as this seems to b a higly recommended place for most applications. But i havent heard it being recommended in the clio situation yet. Another option is in the door card somewhere or in the kickwells?

ne pics would also be much appreciated. many thanks craig

ive been told that one of the best places is high up in the a pillars aimed at the opposite roof arm pulls things.

will try out the old trick of the blue tack, ne1 got ne pics, wat u running bambam?

would like some ideas to influence mine

nothing any more

my car was stolen 6 weeks ago, still waiting on the insurance company before i buy a new car

the a-pillars IMHO are too close to the ears, and make the sound very tinny, with them mounted within 2-4" of the mids the sound is invariably very wholesome

have u got ne experience with this from ya own cars or is this from other cars u have heard?

i really am desperate on ideas, because theres bugger all space around where the mids going cos of the winder, may have to build a fibreglass build with the tweet above it. Also does anyone know where i can get spray that i can finish the doors off in a matching colour of the grey door card

i want it all to look as standard and smooth as possible.

another thought i had was on the dash in the corners by the glass, or deep into the kickwells, or last option next to the door handle.

any of these favourable places?

QUOTED FROM ONE OF MY BUDDIES OF A ICE FORUM SITE:

All speakers are different, Focal are bright when placed on the A pillars, others are not. It all depends on the speakers you buy, if their soft dome or metal etc. etc.

There is no one spot which works for all tweeters, some sound better off axis, some sound better on axis.

Also where the tweeters are aimed makes a huge difference, same with home stereo. You want to create a good image, so the tweeters axis need to cross infront of the passengers, IMO they need to cross near where the rear vew mirror is.

And finally everyones tastes are different. What some people think of as tinny or harsh, others see it as detailed.
