  S'trollin on size 7s
my passenger side jackin point on the sill is bent and is unuseable, well i arent willing to risk it anyway so where abouts further under the car is safe just so i can get it on the axel stands. im unsure? cheers

Chassis rails, look like a length of box section steel running under the car, either side of the exhaust pipe.

thats what i was thinking but just wanted to clarify will it require a piece of wood between the jack and this bit or should it be ok

You will see the chassis rail about 6 inches or so back underneath.

Put a bit of wood on your jack if you are using a trolley jack with the metal cup bit and jack it on that.

tell me about it, wouldnt mind but it was the garage that bent it and it caused my sideskirt to pop off, told them to fix it and turns out theyve only sorted the sideskirt the jacking points still fubard..w*****s

another thing, just had a look, these chassis rails are the things goin length ways down the car yes, and also looking at it these are prob best place to put the axel stands?

I usually just up on the rails, and put an axel stand under the subframe if I am doing work to the suspension etc.

yea ive already had a look, just checkin thats all. cant see anywhere else to put the stands so they shoud be ok on here ?

I'd like to know this too (where to put the stands). The rears pritty obvious I just pop them under the rear beam.

For the front I usually put them under the front wishbones on the middle bit of the 'A' frame. Good or bad idea?

Yeah you are fine putting the stands under the chassis rails mate to help you work on the front and for the back just put them under the rear beam :)
