Which coilovers for my ph1 172?

  Discounted 1*2 parts
Don't want to spend a fortune but want something half decent. Looking at either the KTEC coilovers or the VMAX ones that JMS are advertising.

Don't wanna spend more than £400 really

What are your suggestions?

Or should I be patient and wait for a set to come up 2nd hand?

Gray picked some up for £700 however I believe he got them stupid cheap :S

If they were available for the cup packed 182 i'd have sacked off the ktec ones and bought the KW's.

Don't get me wrong the KTEC ones are brilliant, but Grays car is brilliant-er.

I've tried FK Silverlines on track and they are very good value for money. (IIRC, they are koni underneath all the stickers). Can get them quite cheap from Venom Motorsport.

(I have also tried KW and they are uber awesome! lol)

If your looking for a cheap set that aren't utter shite I'd say FK Highsport are a good choice, I loved mine when I had them on the 1.2 but havent had them on the 172 (yet) one of the traders on here does them for a good price. It might be Kam Racing

I am slightly biased towards KW v2's (but they are DAMN GOOD)...

I was also impressed with the bilsteins :)

If doing trackdays pay the extra bit of money and get the FK Konigsports, around £600. I swear by them! Best thing I ever bought for my clio. If you want to go out for a ride with these fitted your more than welcome to pop over my way (once car is running :p)

I'm pretty sure the konigsports are the only ones using koni inserts, at least that used to be the case with their vw stuff.
