its also nackered my sync, pops out of second when im driving very slowly, thought changeing this would have cured it but its not :(

Theres no gearstick movement though now hardly! (apart from popping out of 2nd lol)

Worst thing is i only had the box completely rebuilt 8k miles ago!

DONT DO FULL THROTTLE CHANGES!!!! LOL

the amount of strain it puts on parts doing these kind of changes it bound to break something.like you said not a good idea.

get a electronic full throttle shift thing, lots of gtts have them, will keep the engine at the reve u dip the clutch out rather than letting them shoot up, and will stop the big jumps which brakes mounts...

that would work better than letting engines bounce on the limiter until you release the clutch.

yeah thing is it didnt even hit the limitor, i can change pretty quick, but it just made a really loud bang and didnt sound healthy. Since then its been popping out of gear.

It crunches when i change fast into to 2nd as well. But as far as i can remember it always has done. Doesnt seem to be a problem at all though, just sometimes makes a crunch noise when i do a fast change. and only ever in 2nd!

The crunch noise will be your synchro on 2nd gear mate, what youre doing is racing the synchro, its not having chance to spin up to speed match before being engaged.

Hmmmm well, after some exhaust work, change of filter system, and a full service and ecu map check mate - probably mid feb at a guess.

yeah, pain in the ass. it drives spot on like, so im gonna leave it for now. I can handle it popping out, it only does it when im driving really slow in 2nd.

Just a pain in the ass when iv got my mobile in one hand and a can of larger in the other ;);)
