Will a de-cat make much diff?

I'm looking to mod my ph2 172, to hopefully improve the shocking low down torque. I have a BMC CDA but haven't yet fitted a cold air feed. I was just wondering if a decat makes much difference?

On a 172 more so yes as the cat is quite restrictive.

does changing the cats to 200 cpsi affect backpressure ? considering doing this to mine.

Yep removes the restriction.
