Massive difference and upgrade in stopping power. The STD breaks are good but these are another level. Highly reccomend them :).. with the ds2500 pads

  Renaultsport Clio 182
i've got them with the DS2500 pads (and braided lines woth Dot5.1 fluid) and they're ace! the DS2500 do give off a hell of a lot of brake dust though so if you're a clean freak be prepared to wash those wheels frequently.

cheaper if you go via the cliosport designated area of K-tec's site too ;-)

I've not tried the DS2500 (still) but I assure you the Carbone Lorraine will make you think you have 8-pots. Amazing stopping power. I wouldn't use them on the road though. Too hardcore.

il have a think on it, seems like its the best thing you can do to improve brakes without spending mega bucks.

thanks for your help guys!

the Carbone Lorraine RC5+ is a better option for a road car when you take into account dust, noise, pad/disc wear. the Carbone Lorraine RC6 you saw on ktec's site is really a race pad.

we do have both the CL RC5+ and the RC6 in stock and can dispatch immediately if you decide on them..

+ they stick to your wheels and paint like sh!t to a blanket!

My CLs were from Ktec. They lasted one track day and came out with bent backing plates on the piston side, as well as 80% worn. They never once faded. Incredible pads. You'll boil your fluid thricefold long before these fade.

Amazing, and I would use them again, but they're proper race pads. Track only.

But, as Kam says, they were the RC6 compound which, AIUI, has more iron in it and therefore do the evil dust thing a lot more than the RC5+, which has more copper in it ;)

Perhaps. That's why I'm specific about mine being from k-tec.

I didn't have dust issues at all, and they didn't rape my discs. I'll certainly try any CL pad again. I'll most likely use them again at Rock. Then I may try DS2500 for a Spa 2-dayer :)

how much do you charge for some rc5+ and some cl disc?

I think I'm going to try the RC5+ with some high carbon discs.

Should be good

me too mate :approve:

go for the ds2500s mate, good compromise between road and track pads. Nice stopping power without damaging the wheels and discs.

the other option to throw into teh mix would be Mintex 1144's as they are very good for fast road use / occasional track also
