Windows XP 120gig HD Size Limit..

I have just installed XP Pro on a new build, it's a stupidly old build of XP, with SP2 on (after the initial install)

Only problem is of the 500 gig HD only 120 is showing up, when i go to my disc management I can see the other 380 gig, but I can only create a new partition on a seperate drive letter.

I'm basically wanting 1, 500 gig drive. Do i need partition magic to be able to merge the two, or can i do it via windows own management somehow ?

Try Right clicking on the 120GB and seeing if "Extend Volume" is available.

If it is greyed out, use http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partition-Manager/3000-2248_4-10863346.html i it is free and will allow you to extend/merge volumes
