Windscreen

So i got a like 4 inch crack in my windscreen on the M62 the other day from a stone or something? I didnt even notice it until i got home.

Anyway i rang a company for a quote because my insurance dont cover windscreen (Norwich union simple cover you have to take out windscreen cover as optional)

the company said £165 for a new windscreen because of the UV film and rain sensor


I was thinking/hoping is the rain sensor not like a small gel pack on the windscreen and couldnt i just buy a standard (not rain sensor) screen and use my old rain sensor ?

your f*ckd if your insurance cant cover it, not much anyone can do :/
still might have to pay quite abit, i thnk autoglass can sort out things like that, best to give them a ring and see what they can do for u. . .

potentially, the dynamique, 172FF and 172 cup all have different windscreens as i recall, so find out which is cheapest and go with that.

having said that, a new windscreen for my cup was £300!

My windscreen went on my 2004 dci a few years ago. was insured but a new screen was £270

potentially, the dynamique, 172FF and 172 cup all have different windscreens as i recall, so find out which is cheapest and go with that.

having said that, a new windscreen for my cup was £300!

are they not thinner glass in a cup? should be cheaper!

Roughly how much is a windscreen replacement on a FF 172?

Probably more expensive as they're lighter/thinner maybe.
