WIP - Inlet polishing.

  SLK 350
Well started on Sunday, and upto now i've given it about 1/1.5 hours work.

Got a 'project pack' of oxide/sandpaper from Halfords for like £2.50. Got the 40 grit oxide paper and went hammer and tongue at it, mainly concentrated on the bulk of the inlets, as i'll tidy the edges when im happy with the bulk.

Basically aside from the fact i have no fingerprints on any of my hands, and my fingers are a bit sore it's coming along fairly well. Soon as i've got the main bits done, ill be stepping down the grades until i'm on 1200 or something. Then i'll use some wet n dry, followed by scratch-x polishing.

Not sure if im going to do just the inlets or whether to bother with the rest, but along side my engine cover spraying its more of a boredom project.

I'll post some more pics up once im nearer to the finish line :)

Got a dremmel, it scratches too deep. Im charging my sander tonight to see if thats any cop. But in all honesty, its not that hard work, im just too lazy to buy a sanding block.

You can get foam sanding blocks so that should help with the curve of the tubes .
