Would this process be ok.

  Black Sheep
I have nearly got all my products to detail my car for the first time hopefully when the weather is not so Sh*te, This is the process of polishing and waxing correct me if i am wrong cause i am a noob at this but i have dug around to try and learn some basics its a black 172.

Wash car and completley dry off obviously.

Apply poor boys black hole by buffer at slow speed to hide my swirls and light scratching.

Apply Autoglym super resin polish by buffer.

Apply victoria concours wax by hand possibly buffer? which is best

Surely you need to clay before using a buffer/machine?

Don't have a full answer for you but will be interested to know how it turns out with the Victoria Wax on black. I'm pretty much in the same newbie boat, finally got everything I need and just waiting for a good day to do it.

My car is black gold and swirled to f**k, gonna be attempting full correction with a DAS6.

Be sure to post pics when it's done

  Golf GT & A4 Avant
wash using 2 bucket method
de tar with autoglym intensive tar remover or tardis
clay the whole car to remove any contaminants
I was of the oppinion black hole and SRP were much the same product of filling swirls? SRP is more thaan likely going to strip off whatever you put on before it so best to use just one
I've personally always applied wax by hand / foam pad.

I have got the autoglym tar remover I was planning to use that to remove any heavy contamination but I will just buy a clay kit aswell. I have applied a bit off super resin polish by hand only, so its kind of hard to say if swirls were filled but I did notice it filled some really light scratches so with a buffer it might hide them, if not I will buy black hole and try that next time. I have been recommended victoria concours wax by the detailers on here and I am just about to order it now along with big fluffy drying towel and a sheep skin mit on clean your car .com it looks a great site. I will get some before pics before I go all out on it then some afters, hopefully looking mint I will use my camera not the disgracefull camera on the i phone. Last thing I need is a buffer seen one for about eighty quid with variable speed on that site.

  Bumder With A Buffer
Only use black hole. Dont bother with Super Resin polish.

Both products are the same/do the same thing

  Black Sheep
I have just been out and done resin polish by hand and seemed to hide quite a bit of swirling by hand doing it a couple of times, so a buffer should get it to a level where I am satisfied with it.

I will take that back just seen a black clio on another thread done with black hole and it looks mint! I will save the super resin polish for when I do the folks cars:approve:

Struggling to see the difference between this and the other thread... so have answered in your other thread.
