Xbox 360 newbie question.

My mrs got me a 360 with the premium package for xmas, it comes with a 30 day subscription to live but i want to know if i sign up for the 30 day trial which is 'silver', will i have to stick with silver afterwards or will i be able to upgrade to gold or whatever the top one is?

silver is free the 30 days you get free are for gold

you can only play games online with friends with gold

I couldnt for f**k find where to subscribe to that 30 day free gold trial when I got mine, followed the instructions in the literature which I think said go to some website, click on '30 day free trial' link and it just looped back to the payment page. Fucked me off so I just bought 12 months on ebay for £23
